Exams Timetable Tool

Please note that the information contained within our EXAMS TIMETABLE TOOL is only applicable to UK centres

The Exams Office is the only organisation funding the redevelopment of online tools previously supplied by the Department for Education.

The Exams Timetable Tool is the only exams database of general and some vocational qualifications from AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC which you can search, filter, edit and download. See below for the qualifications and awarding bodies included within the tool.

The Exams Timetable Tool enables members to search for and select exams to build a complete exams timetable for their centre. The tool is designed to allow the creation of a complete timetable quickly and easily for your centre several months before the information is available in MIS systems. This means that you can plan in advance to manage rooms, invigilators and timetable clashes.

No other organisation provides such a facility with information received directly from the awarding bodies contained in a fully functioning and regularly maintained online tool

For reference purposes (until the Exams Timetable Tool is updated for 2018/19) a PDF of the JCQ 'common' final May/June 2019 examination timetable is available by clicking the link below

Using the Exams Timetable Tool

Please read the user guide below before using the Exams Timetable Tool. Non-members can also view the functionality of the tool via the user guide.

Our online tools use the latest software, so please ensure that your internet browser has been updated in order to access the full functionality of the Exams Timetable Tool

We recommend that you use FirefoxSafari (if using an Apple Mac) or Edge when accessing the Timetable Tool.

Please note the following:

  • Exams timetable information is presented as it is received from the awarding bodies. The Exams Office does not alter any information
  • Awarding Bodies have forwarded exam timetable information for the qualifications included detailed below
  • If searching by subject alone ensure that you are clear over the subject(s) taken in your centre. For example, English qualifications can be found under 'English', 'English Language', 'English Literature' and 'English Language and Literature', whilst Mathematics is listed under 'Mathematics' and 'Use of Mathematics', and Business Studies may be under 'Business Studies' or 'Business'. Be clear over which subject you are searching for
  • Qualifications offered within an assessment window will appear on the date that the window begins. Under 'Title' the duration of the window will be indicated
